Pearly Whites: Nail Trends

| July 11, 2012 | 1 Comment

With their glossy base and classy, white tips, French manicures seem to work for just about any occasion. But why settle for what you already know? Get in touch with your inner trendsetter and opt for opaque, all white nails instead. Subtle yet eye catching , white polish is one of the hottest new nail trends. White nails look great in contrast to a sun kissed glow or as a compliment to pastel tops and dark denim bottoms for the summer. Not only have countless celebs been spotted with ivory polish on their nails, but the trend has even made its debut on the designer runway.

Selecting a shade of white polish is not exactly such a “black or white” choice,  though. There are a variety of shades from which to pick to find the perfect color.  For a slightly sheer, iridescent look, paint on Essie’s “Oui Madame” color. If you’re looking for something a bit softer than stark white,  OPI’s creamy white shade “funny bunny” is a chic alternative. More into the mod look? Choose a crisp, clean color like  Zoya’s “Snow White”

Whether you make your way over to the spa or take on a DYI manicure at home, forget the neons, the sparkles, and the “crackle” overcoat. Instead, go for “pearly whites” that will add elegance and glamour to any summer look.
