Effects

Typical experiences last about 5-8 hours for a large does, and take about an hour to set-in.  Its effects are reported as generally pleasant, and not unlike other psychedelics such as LSD or psilocybin.   However, it is also is reported to cause nausea for many individuals, though the nausea subsides in time.  

Individuals Report Experiencing

• Positive Moods and Euphoria
• Epiphanies 
• Close attention to ambient objects or behaviors
• lighter closed and open-eyed visuals
• altered chrono-sensitivity
• light after-effects spanning the following 24 hours
• a general shift in thought and percpetion

Chemicals

The psychoactive chemical in HBW seeds are ergine alkaloids also called d-lysergic acid amide or LSA.  LSA was a precursor to LSD and causes very similar psychedelic experiences.  HOWEVER, because of this it in its isolated form is a DEA schedule III drug.  This means that to have a tincture or isolated form of Hawaiian Baby Woodrose Seed IS illegal, though the plants and seeds themselves are sold legally.  

Important Facts

When sold in the United States, several companies that distribute the seeds add non-toxic, but highly unpleasant, coatings to the seeds that cause them to incite intense nausea if ingested.  This is to combat the use of the seeds as a drug.  Bear that in mind.

Effects

Salvia has a number of different effects, and obviously depends upon the individual and the dosages, but actually quite commonly individuals report their experiences as unpleasant.  A typical Salvia trip reportedly lasts between 10 and 25 minutes, again depending on the individual and the dosage.

Individuals Report Experiencing:

• Highly altered perception and introversion
• Light to heavy open and closed-eye visuals
• Physical sensations of pressure
• Dreamlike experiences involving altered realities
• Fear and Panic
• Higher aesthetic appreciation
• Flushing, dizziness, and confusion
• Inability to integrate occurrences

Chemicals

Salvia’s primary psychoactive compound is Salvinorin-A which is ACTUALLY not an alkaloid like the psychoactive compounds of most other hallucinogens.  

Fun Facts

Many hypothesize that the blue flower in Batman Begins was inspired by Salvia.  GOD, imagine a WEAPONIZED version of Salvia!! That would suck!

There are many ways to get fucked up and to ingest THC to get high, but few are as efficient as “The Green Dragon.”  This diabolical beverage and its name are notorious around the world.  

What it IS.

The Green Dragon is a high-proof alcoholic beverage that has been used to dissolve THC creating one bad-ass solution.  You can attempt to take shots of “The Green Dragon” but chances are you will end up flat on your ass, or worse, in the hospital, but it is had on good authority that mixed properly it can create one especially mellow cocktail.

What You Need

• Weed
• High Proof Alcohol (Bacardi 151, Everclear…etc) 1 shot to every 1/2 gram of weed
• A Strainer
• Time

Preparation

There are a number of steps, and it seems that there are two schools of thought: those who believe the weed must be cooked a bit first, and those who believe this is an unnecessary step.  Whether pre-toasting your weed actually increases potency is unknown, but either way the THC is soluble in alcohol.  SO, without further ado:

1. Pre-Toast your weed in the oven around 200 Fahrenheit for no greater than 10 minutes…OR, you know, don’t.
2. Add your weed to a VERY high proof alcohol such as Bacardi 151 or Everclear
3. Let this mixture sit in a closed container unexposed to sunlight, or excessive heat.  Excessive heat can degrade the THC.  
4. Shake the container periodically throughout a month long period.
5. FINALLY, after about a month, sift out the weed using a strainer, and store the alcohol in a cool dark place until consumption.

Consumption

DO NOT fuck around with The Green Dragon.  It will mess you up.  never drink more than a shot per a 2-3 hour period, and be careful not to imbibe other alcohol excessively.  THC causes vasodilation: this means that your blood-vessels expand allowing greater exposure of your muscles and brain to whatever is in the blood-stream.  For this reason, alcohol is extra effective and extra detrimental to your body while high.  USE WITH CAUTION

Reagan threw down the gauntlet, and in makeshift laboratories across the nation weed smokers united to create the bong; a filtration system so versatile that creativity was the only barrier during construction. 1. The Gravity Bong:

The Gravity Bong is a weed smoking staple. This group of individuals has shown remarkable ambition by attempting to create the largest gravity bong of all time. A 25 gallon bucket inside of a hot tub. Admirable effort!

2. The Gas Mask:

Simply put, this individual is not fucking around. Leaving nothing to chance, he has constructed a smoking device which ensures that every molecule of THC will be delivered right into his lungs. Bravo masked crusader, bravo.

3. Guitar Bong:

Music and drugs have always gone hand in hand. I think Bill Hicks said it best:

“You see, I think drugs have done some good things for us. I really do. And if you don’t believe drugs have done good things for us, do me a favor. Go home tonight. Take all your albums, all your tapes and all your CDs and burn them. ‘Cause you know what, the musicians that made all that great music that’s enhanced your lives throughout the years were rrreal fucking high on drugs. The Beatles were so fucking high they let Ringo sing a few tunes.”

It is no surprise that students love to smoke in the dorms, and such is the necessity for the popcorn trick . No matter how strict the policy is, or how many close calls one has had; people are going to light up in their rooms. Most RA’s are aware of this, and while some may play dumb, others will not be so lenient. I’ve known a few to go out of their way to catch students smoking.

For this reason, safety first should be your motto.  There is nothing worse than a loud knock on the door in the middle of your session. But, sometimes, luck is not on our side.  Maybe you came back fucked up at 4 am and decided it would be a good idea to smoke without opening the windows (you would not be the first) or a cruel gust of wind has blown the smoke back into your room. Lets not beat around the bush here, folks – The alarm is blaring and you can hear the fire engines in the distance – You are FUCKED!

Or are you? This is the perfect time to implement “The Popcorn Trick”. Simply overcook your popcorn until there is a smoking, burnt, buttery bomb festering in your microwave. Because what it comes down to is this – People are going to think you are an idiot no matter what you do. Your fate is in your own hands. So, are you the idiot who:

GOT CAUGHT SMOKING IN THE DORMS

OR

THE GUY WHO DOESN”T KNOW HOW TO COOK POPCORN (snicker, snicker, snicker)

It is truly as simple as it sounds. Yes, even if you are high and freaking out, you should be able to do it. If you lack confidence – I don’t know – practice it at your friend’s apartment or something. Run to your cabinet, grab some Orville Redenbacher and toss that baby in the microwave for 10 or 15 minutes – Enough time to really burn it to a crisp. Run out the door with the rest of the dorm residents and remember to add, “Buy a Vaporizer” to your to-do list.

NOTE:

For those that don’t routinely have popcorn in their room the “popcorn trick” also works well with….

Dirty Shoes

Say you were trying to dry them off because they were wet. People will definitely question how you made it to college, but they won’t even think about whether your excuse is fake. It’s too stupid to be fake. 

Eggs

Say you were just trying to cook a snack, and lost track of time. Don’t do this one unless you really want your roommates to hate you. It smells like death for about a week.
