21 Nips for Your 21st Birthday

21 nipsWhen you turn 21 you are LEGALLY able to drink. As would be expected (assuming you don’t already drink….), you are going to be eager to try every alcohol known to man. Obviosly drinking an entire bottle of every liquor this great planet has to offer wouldn’t be the most intelligent solution. This is why the good lord invented mini bottles. 

21 Nips for Your 21st Birthday

Something you can do to help your friend celebrate their 21st birthday is buy them 21 “nips”, or mini bottles. 

“21 Nips for Your 21st Birthday” is something I first encountered when celebrating my friends 21st birthday. His sisters had gotten him a selection of mini bottles adding up to 21. They expected him to drink all of them over the course of the day (not advisable). 

The second time I encountered this ritual was during another friends birthday. He was surprised with a pinata full of mini bottles. That celebration got a little sloppy.  If you decide to put your mini bottles in a pinata make sure they are plastic. Picking up shards of mini bottle glass out of the lawn is NOT fun, and can seriously hurt people. 

What Bottles are Best?

You should get a variety of mini bottles when you are surprising your friend. The easiest way is to just go to the liquor store and browse the mini bottle section. I would suggest the following.

  2. Bombay Saphire 
  3. Jack Daniels
  4. Patron
  5. St. Germain
  6. Grey Goose 
  7. Disaronno
  8. Midori
  9. Domaine de Canton
  10. Amarula
  11. Kahlua
  12. Jagermeister
  13. Henessy
  14. Hypnotiq
  15. Moet
  16. Bailey’s
  17. Grand Marnier
  18. Frangelico
  19. Makers Mark
  20. Cointreau
  21. Malibu

 Obviously there are a ton. This is just a list to get started. If you so desire, you could buy one of each. It would probably be ridiculously expensive, but sometimes your friends are worth it.
