Rubiks Cube Party 300x225THEME DESCRIPTION

The Rubiks Cube Party is based on that annoying toy / puzzle from your childhood that you could never solve. To throw a Rubiks Cube Party you need to inform your guests that they are to come dressed only in the colors present on the faces of the Rubiks Cube. They should dress in a variety of colors, not just one individual color. This is all you need to tell your guests at this point.

IMPLEMENTATION

When guests arrive you must inform them that their mission to complete before the night is out is to…

Trade clothes with people at the party until they are dressed entirely in one color.

They will mingle, drink, and start to party. Undressing will occur, and people will start to have A LOT of fun. Cross-dressing will occur, joviality with ensue, and don’t be surprised if people start to hook up in your bathroom while they are changing.

KEYS TO SUCCESS

When someone hears “Rubiks Cube Party” they immediately think of something nerdy and completely devoid of partying fun. When you inform your guests that you are going to be having a Rubiks Cube Party you need to make it abundantly clear what a Rubiks Cube Party ACTUALLY IS. Send them this article, and that should get the job done.

Also, make sure that you tell people to wear clothes that they don’t mind losing forever. Chances are that they won’t be pleased if they trade their $200 cardigan with someone and don’t get it back . Tell them to head over to Goodwill and pick up some multicolored clothing.

DRINKS

It is really fun to provide you guests with jello shots with the colors of each side of the Rubiks cube. This just adds a little bit to the theme.  You can really have any drinks you want. Perhaps you could try all the different colors of Cruzan rum, smirnoff vodka, or Bacardi rum. This theme is all about colors, and that is what you want to play off of.

Also, try having multicolored candy all over the house like Starbursts, JellyBellies, Mike an Ike, and Dots. This always makes things a little more magical.
