ABC (Anything But Clothes) Party

THEME DESCRIPTION

The ABC party, or “Anything But Clothes” party, is a pillar in the land of college partying.  Although its glory has somewhat faded, it will surely continue to be seen for generations and generations.  The point of an ABC party is to have all of your guests show up dressed in everyday items such as newspaper, feathers, money, etc.,  rather than real clothing.

IMPLEMENTATION

To implement an ABC party you need only inform your prospective guests that it IS an ABC party.  They will do the rest for you, most likely showing up in such items as trash-bags, bubble-wrap unitards, paint, street-signs, and many other amazing things.

There’s nothing worse than throwing a themed party and having nobody show up in costume – except for maybe being one of the few sad individuals that actually took your advice.  Save everyone the embarrassment and give this list a once-over before you decide your going to throw a great college theme party. Yes, they do have potential. But they take a considerable amount of effort to do well. You can’t just buy a keg and send a text, you’ve gotta:

WARNINGS

The ABC party is a bitch to clean up after.  The fact is, most people will go out of their way to choose more obscure items to wear, and, unless they are naked beneath these items, they have the tendency to leave things behind.  It is strongly possible that after the party your house will look like a landfill.
