Kaskade Mashup Essentials
Kaskade has done a lot in the past year to earn his standing as “America’s #1 DJ”. The Chicago native put together one of the biggest festivals of the summer in IDentity festival, released a full 20 track album, and has produced and remixed tracks with the likes of artists such as Tiesto, Dada Life, and Skrillex. Having seen Kaskade at the Massachusets IDFest this summer, I can also say from first hand experience his stage show is one of the best out there, due in a large part to his mashups and ability to blend tracks together flawlessly. Fortunately for us, Kaskade releases most of the mashups he mixes for live sets on his Soundcloud. Some are as simple as laying his vocals over another artist’s track, and other are intricate blends of several songs (my personal favorite – “Angel on My Shoulder Reaver 76″), but all are equally awesome. Here are some of the best.

Why not? Here’s one more album to stream. Help support Kaskade and buy the album on iTunes (it’s already number 5). Kaskade was recently voted the best DJ in America and number 30 in the DJ Mag Top 100 of 2011 poll. Not bad for the 30 year old from Chicago.
Kaskade & Dada Life feat. Dan Black – ICE (Original Mix)
Kaskade and Dada Life decided to team up on this absolute JAM. Numbers 30 and 38 on DJ Magazine’s recently released 2011 poll, both of these guys had huge a year. As relatively new performs, it should be interesting to see how their careers progress.

Back in July, Ultra records hosted a remix competition for Adam K and Kaskade’s track ‘Raining”. This entry, by PIXL, won the event, and with 25,000 plays on soundcloud surely provided him with plenty of exposure.

For those of you that listened to Kaskade’s essential mix, or the lucky few that attended ID fest, this track should be familiar to you. Great locals laid down by duo Rebecca & Fiona. Kaskade has been unable to put out anything less that stellar as of late.
