About a month ago, MGMT hosted a session over at “LateNightTales”, a radio show curated by different bands each week who assemble a complilation mix of the best late night music. MGMT played a mesmerizing, echoey cover of Bauhaus’ “All We Ever Wanted Was Everything” devoid of their signature glamorous psychedelic rock. Now they have released an accompanying video to make up for the lack of pyschadelic-ness in the original cover. Mission Accomplished.
“Run Right Back” is more of what we have come to expect from The Black Keys; tight, minimalist blues-rock with wailing, crunching guitars and a driving drum-line that could kick-start the dead. If the A-side/B-side combo of “Lonely Boy” and “Run Right Back” is any indication, El Camino will be one hell of an album.

Below are the confirmed dates, though I wouldn’t be surprised to see a couple more shows tacked onto either end as we get closer to the new year. General tickets go on sale this Saturday.

“Lonely Boy” is the first single off The Black Keys upcoming album, El Camino, which is due out December 6th. The song is classic Keys, but it is made that much better by the video. I think we just watched a black guy dance like a white guy for 3 minutes. Whatever it was, I definitely hit the repeat button.
