Momentum and motivation. When asking any college senior their reasons for going straight into grad school, momentum and motivation are always the reasons given. There exists an undue fear that once you stray from the path of education, you’ll never go back and you’ll never accomplish the goals you set up for yourself while in college or high school (or even middle school).

I can tell you this: taking a gap year between college and law school and now between law school and hopefully grad school was one of the best decisions I ever made.
