How To Make Great Halloween Craft Decorations on a Budget
There are so many cool decorations for Halloween, but some can get pretty expensive. So instead of buying decorations, you can try make some yourself. There are some really cool Halloween crafts out there; you just have to know where to look. You can even make a lot of them with things you have around the house.
Mummy Jar
What you need:
- Mason Jar
(clean pasta jar)
- Gauze
(or cheesecloth)
- Googly Eyes
- Glue
Directions:
- Cut the gauze into thin (2-inch) strips
- Apply a little glue to the bottom and wrap cloth around jar. Overlap the cloth for a better look. Make sure to add a little glue every few strips to keep cloth in place.
- Glue googly eyes to the front of the jar
Optional: Place a candle or glow stick at night for a mummy that glows

Zombie Pumpkins
What you need:
- 1 small/medium pumpkin
- Plastic Eyeballs
- Knife
Directions:
- Cut out two cone-shaped holes for eyes (cut them a little smaller than plastic eyeballs)
- Cut out a mouth for the zombie
- Wedge eyeballs into holes

Creepy Eyes in a Bush
What you need:
- Empty toilet paper rolls
- Scissors
- Glow Sticks
Directions:
- Draw eyes on toilet paper roll and cut them out
- At night, stick glow stick in toilet paper rolls and place rolls in bushes
Optional: Wrap aluminum foil around ends of toilet paper roll so the glow stick doesn’t fall out

Monster in a Toilet
- Black paper (construction paper or card stock works best)
- White paper
- Tape
Directions:
- Cut black paper at angle (make sure to check out the size of your toilet first)
- Cut out ovals for hands
- Cut out medium white circles for eyes and small black circles for pupils
- Assembles pieces together and attach to toilet

Halloween Frame
What you need:
- Simple picture frame
- Black paint
- Halloween picture
Directions:
- Paint picture frame black
- Print out a Halloween picture or use sticker. Put it in frame.
Optional: Glue plastic spiders on frame
